Our Pumpkin Patch is now OPEN!

Autumn has arrived at The Balloon Tree, and our Pumpkin Patch is ready for picking! 🎃

Come along and enjoy a proper autumn day out on the farm, wandering through the patch and choosing your perfect pumpkin. With thousands of pumpkins growing in all shapes, sizes and colours, there’s plenty to choose from – whether you’re looking for a little pumpkin to decorate the house or the perfect one for carving at Halloween.

🎃 Pumpkin Picking

Our Pick Your Own Pumpkin Patch is open from Friday 18 September, with pumpkins available to pick throughout the season while stocks last.

There’s no need to book – simply turn up during opening hours and get picking!

Entry is £1.50 per person, with children under 2 free. Entry helps us maintain the farm and continue providing a great Pick Your Own experience for everyone who visits.

Once you’ve found your perfect pumpkins, bring them along to be weighed and paid for before taking them home to enjoy.

Why not make a proper day of your visit? After exploring the Pumpkin Patch, pop into our Farm Shop for local produce and autumn treats, or head into the Café for something delicious to eat and drink.

We make it super easy to come and Pick Your Own!

There is no pre-booking required – just come to site during the PYO months and follow the “Pick Your Own” and “The Berry Barn” signs to the field. It’s all signposted, but if you have any questions, just ask our friendly staff in the Farm Shop or the Berry Barn.

Wheelbarrows are available from the “Wheelbarrow Park” at the entrance to our PYO fields.

Pick your pumpkins before heading to The Berry Barn or Farm Shop to pay for what you have picked & your entrance to the farm.

Head home and enjoy your pickings!

Dogs at Pick Your Own

Due to the nature of our fruit crops, dogs are not permitted in our Pick Your Own fields during the summer months. Dogs are welcome in our Pumpkin Patch during the autumn season.

Dogs are welcome in the Café Garden and Picnic Area, provided they are kept on a lead at all times. We do not permit dogs inside our Cafe or Farm Shop buildings.

Thank you for your understanding and helping us keep our fruit fields clean and enjoyable for everyone.

Important to remember: Pick Your Own is not just for little kids – it’s fantastic fun for big kids too! So, make sure you bring the whole family when you visit our Pick Your Own farm.

Opening Days

Our pumpkin patch is now open until 31 October, providing we have pumpkins left in the patch! We often leave our pumpkin patch open for a few days after Halloween as well, for anyone who wants a fun half term activity.
